Final Project Guidelines
Purpose: Adapted Physical Education (APE) is a form of physical education that is intended to meet the developmental needs of students with disabilities. APE is crucial to the development of children with special needs and disabilities. Currently, with online learning being at the forefront of students’ education, it is important to look at the challenges and struggles of APE through online or hybrid learning, and how to have special needs students’ education continue to be beneficial to their development. Additionally, the possible solutions to this problem must be considered. The challenges faced, due to the pandemic, have had a direct impact on special education students, teachers, and parents.
Tasks:
1. By semester end, you are to conduct 3 in–depth interviews with Adapted PE teachers using the assigned questions. These interviews can be conducted via Zoom, FaceTime, or via phone. It is important to take notes on your interviews. You can use this document as a template to keep your notes.
2. Summarize and synthesize the results of your interviews.
3. Develop a presentation of the results in Power point format.
4. Read 2 articles on the effects of e-learning on adapted physical education students.
